Church Covenants
The difference between those who “attend” Southwood and those who are “members” is summed up in one word: commitment.
At Southwood we never ask our members to commit to more than the Bible clearly teaches. We only expect our members to do what the Bible expects every Christian to do. These responsibilities are spelled out in four covenants.
Summary of the Four Covenants
The Membership Covenant is a commitment to Christ and the Southwood family.
The Maturity Covenant is a commitment to the habits necessary for spiritual growth.
The Ministry Covenant is a commitment to discovering and using my God-given gifts and abilities in serving God and others.
The Missions Covenant is a commitment to share the Good News of the Lord Jesus Christ with others.
